So I gave up on the 30 Days thing... back to my boring blog, I guess, though I did pick one of the last ones off the list to post today:

Me, a year ago (around my 22nd birthday).
So, a year has passed. What has changed (besides my rapidly diminishing bowling scores, seriously, it's become an embarrassment more than a skill or enjoyment lately)?
I don't really know. I have grown up a bit, I suppose, and I think a lot of that is a result of moving across the country and trying to survive on the East Coast. This improved a lot for me: money saving skills, staying-in-touch skills, making friends skills, independence (skills?), etc.
A lot of my growing up has been my second year (almost) at Sports Academy and my job as an admin at Clarke Leiper.
Being in school for several months of the past year and focusing on piano probably helped me mature not only musically (in aural skills, appreciation, theory, etc.) but emotionally (how does one NOT cope with music?!).
I'm done with being 22.
And yes! That IS the Bellagio. Derek and I met a couple friends in Las Vegas for my pre-birthday week (we spent a few nights in St. George as well) and went to a Journey concert! It was a BLAST. I'm not necessarily a hardcore Journey fan (nor do I gamble over a minimum of $5 easily), but I had a great time. Happy Birthday to Whitney.

Love you Whitney! In the paper today it talked about a girl on her high school bowling team and of course I thought of you! I'm pretty sure you're bowling picture is of when we went together. So fun! Miss you! I hope I can meet this big-hunk-o'-love of yours someday!
Yes Happy Birthday indeed!
Here's to a great year!
